In societies like the whiteguy 1st world west, utterly lost tribe establishment cultures reward dishonesty and corrupt people.
So, it stands to reason, that Honest People are the enemies of the culture.

I doubt, though, that a person steeped in the western, jewish/christian religious cultures, could understand this.
More the flavor of the Zen Buddhist, and the Taoist, methinks....?
